One headlight in my stock 46 coupe is out. What is the best way to determine if it is the bulb itself, or a problem in the wiring serving the headlights. Thank you.

Is it out both dim and bright? Ken

Test the bulb and/or the socket with a multimeter. The socket should show 6 v. for both high and low beam. On the bulb, each beam should read about an Ohm or less . If the filaments are shot they'll read infinity. The other choice would be to swap bulbs and see what happens. That would determine if you're getting voltage to the bulb.
