Isn't there anybody on this forum that knows anything about polarizing the charging system??? I rebuilt generators and starters when I was a mechanic in the 1960's; but now i'm 87 yrs. old and have CSS and CHS (can't see sh*t; and can't hear sh*t!) All I remember is how to polarize the system; and how to test a generator after I rebuilt it,"put it on the floor with my foot on it; connect a positve jumper cable from the battery to the big threaded post on the generator,and touch the ground cable from that battery to the case ; momentarily!"Watch out!" if's okay it will "Motor!" (Without your foot on it; it will fly across across the floor; and scare the fear of God out of you!!!!) ( a generator is a motor in reverse!) Now I taught you all something; tell me how to re-polarize; after i did it with (-) ground, and how undo that!, or is the regulator junk now? Regards, Steve Lee
