I have significant clutch chatter in reverse, not any in forward. 1939 Tudor. Thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks, V8JR

Your rear shock absorber links may have worn out bushings which allow the rear axle to have too much unrestricted movement when backing up.

Check you motor mounts and transmission mounts. The cushions should be in good condition and not spongy or hard. The nuts should not be too lose or too tight.

Bob Drake has made the best reproduction motor mount. Other vendors have bolts that are an incorrect length and cushions that are too hard or too soft.

Here are links to 2 discussions about motor mounts:

Thanks Tom for the links - they gave me some insight. I'll check motor mounts and rear shocks.
