I'm putting together a 51 F1 with a rebuilt 8BA. The fuel pump push rod has 2 grooves on one end and is slightly beveled on that end. The other end is perfectly flat. I would think the slightly beveled end gets installed down onto the cam but the one groove protrudes and has a slight shoulder and will not pass through the bushing in the block. Is it correct that the grooved end goes up toward the pump and the flat side against the cam? It doesn't seem right. Thanks in advance

The flat end should ride on the camshaft. Tom
