I purchased a new starter for my 47 Ford but have a concern. It came with a note that said this starter is bigger than the original because of the new improved bendix. It says I have to grind a bit of the metal off the starter plate to allow the starter bendix to fit past the flywheel gear. How do I remove that starter plate to do this?

Or you can use an original style Bendix and not have to grind anything. ______________ No signature
