I am running a stock 59 AB engine in my 42 Ford car. Oil pump is a rebuilt original. Dash gauge is 50lbs. Should I be running the 41A-9278 sender which I believe is 80lbs. or the earlier 48-9278 50lb. sender?

If you have a 50 PSI original oil pump, you should use the original type 50 PSI gauge and sender. This message was edited by carcrazy on 9-27-22 @ 10:05 AM

The dash gauge should match the sending unit. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

hi I have a 80# pump, and a 50 lb sender and gauge, iN MY 37 85 HP for atleast 15 years, no problems seems to work just fine, you have to REMEMBER, there is a pressure relief valve in the engine , under the intake in front RS., this regulates the oil pressure, hope this helps 37Ragtopman
