Topic: carburetor to replace 8ba

Am wondering if anyone has used or heard reports on a KIPA carburetor that can replace any Ford carb from 1938 thru 1957 ( and Chryslers ). I have a friend with a 1951 Ford with an 8ba engine and saw these advertised. Do they fit, work, and are they a possible sub? Thanks 42OINK

Don't know for sure but sounds like a cheap off shore knock off. New USA made 94's are available form several vendors. More money than the one listed on Ebay.

Contact Charlie NY on the "Ford Barn" He will make your carb better than new. Has a GR8 reputation. There are V8 Club folks that do quality rebuilds too. Don't mess with the unknown..... Mike

According to the website, KIPA is based in Croatia.

MY take on the new KIPA carburetor,
saw the web site, what is with all the brushes ? expecting problems in the FUTURE ?
if anything goes wrong were do you get parts ? are parts exactly like the original carb, ??? interchange ?
were the FORD CARBS have many venders selling parts for original carbs,
if you are are having problems send it to CHARLIE SCHWENDER in NY in the roster
I have a 97 on my 37 since the late 1980's with no problems,
be sure to install good fuel filters before the FUEL PUMP and CARBURETOR
My 2 cents 37Ragtopman, Maine
