Need advise on the removal of the steering box, shaft on a 1934 Ford Tudor. Does the exhaust manifold need to be removed? Does the steering shaft slide out of the worm into the car? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many years ago I did remove the manifold to remove the steering assy.
