Both my speedometer and fuel gauge are broken. Any recommendations on vendors who repair these?

Are you sure the fuel gauge is broken? Many times when the fuel gauge does not work it is caused by the sending unit in the gas tank. If the gauge is staying on empty the most likely cause is the float has sunk to the bottom of the tank. Check the sending unit first for the possible damaged float. It's something you can fix yourself. In regards to your speedometer check to make sure it is not the cable. A broken inner cable could be the problem. Check the cable first before sending the speedometer to someone to fix it. If it's the cable they are readily available through most V-8 parts vendors.

What kind of fuel gauge? If it is a hydrostatic (1935 or before) I found that by simply replacing the airline and fluid and cleaning up the tank unit, a seemingly hopeless project turned out to be a rather easy fix.

What speedo do you have? if it's a Waltham, there were never any parts available to repair them. I recently had my gauges done on my 41 pickup and found that info. I needed to find a Stewart Warner because parts are available for them.
