I am just finishing the restoration of my 1953 Merc 2 dr ht. We are trying to install the windshield. I have a new Dennis Carpender gasket, and we have broken 2 windshields so far. Any help would be appreciated. The back glass went in easily. I have a glass shop and my body shop guys helping.

Are you sure that you have the correct windshield to be used in the 2-Door Hardtop and the Convertible?

The 1st one was the one that came out of the car prior to paint, and the replacement was for a 60 style body, ie 2 dr ht. We matched them up and the looked identical.
