Hello Friends, Thank you so much for your expertise and advice regarding the '42-'48 Ford heater I pulled from my '36 Phaeton. For now, I've decided to keep the heater. No, it won't be factory original, but it will be original to how I found it. Rather than take the easy way out and replace this unit's original multi-speed motor with a single-speed, I've decided to have the multi-speed rebuilt. The fellow who is doing the work said it might take him some time to find the correct wiring diagram. Do you have any tips for where he might look? Has anyone seen the wiring diagram for a '42-'48 Ford and Mercury blower motor? Thank you so much. Again, I am humbled by your eagerness to help and assist. Best, John

Here are 2 sources for the wiring with the diagram. https://www.joesantiqueauto.com/heater-motor-wire-car-1942-1946-21a-18457 https://cgfordparts.com/heater-switch-to-heater-motor-wire-42-early-46-pass-merc-21a-18457.html Most of the vendors carry the wiring. I suggest that you order the wiring and diagram and do a little shopping locally for someone to replace the wiring and brushes. Prices have a large variance depending on the experience of the vendor.
