Hi: I have a reproduction copy of the Chassis Parts List for 1928-1937 Passenger Cars and Trucks dated June 1937. In the book there is a Year column for all the part number listings....under the year column they obviously put the applicable year(s) for each part. Sometimes they put a black dot after the year....does anyone know what this black dot signifies? Regards, BRL

Usually the symbols are displayed and explained at the bottom of the page. I know that the symbol that looks like a small cross, means that the part is not longer available.

This is just a guess, it could mean that there was a running change and there is a newer part that fits the same models. For instance on page 7 the brake lining 48-2021-A is for 1935-36* and the line below it shows 48-2021-B also for 1935-36 vehicles with the same models listed to the left and no star next to the year.

I too have looked for the black spot description after the year, in many original Chassis parts books for different years beside the 28-37 and have not been able to find it.
