My horn began only work sporadically and then refused to work at all. Where does one begin to fix these? Has anyone just added an auxiliary button. I do not show my car.

Had the same problem with my '37. Turned out to be a high resistance connection with a male/female-bullet/sleeve connectors. Clean all those type connections in the horn circuit....

I added an auxiliary horn button, (available at most parts stores), under the dash on my 1936. Like you I had intermittent horn functionality, now it works every time.
