Ever since I got this car, a '39 Deluxe Fordor back on the road I've never had a spare tire for it. I finally found an extra wheel which will accommodate a 600-16 tire which is what the other 4 are. I'm in the process of sand blasting it and getting it painted. I'm looking at a spring loaded pivoting bolt that is fastened from above in the trunk. I have no hardware to attach it to it to hold down the spare tire. I'm trying to acquire the correct hardware to interface with this bolt to properly hold the spare tire down. I am not really visualizing how it goes together or which bit of hardware is the correct one to purchase? Do you have a picture of your trunk's spare tire hardware that might help me out? I posted a picture of the pivoting bolt and pictures of the two kinds of spare tire hardware Bob Drake has for sale. Any thoughts? Thanks!

1931 Flamingo. Great Thanks! From a picture in that thread, I believe I found some rusty hardware in my old parts bucket that fits the bill. I think this bit of forgotten hardware is what I was looking for?
