I have a new one...modified slightly to move the pedal farther to the right of the brake pedal. I took the old one off, pulling it off the pin on the end of the pedal shaft...not hard but a little effort. Does anyone know how to push the new one onto the shaft? I can't seem to hold it to push the knob into the rubber retainer... Thank you. 42YearsandWaiting

I have a 39, might be the same. I put a small vice grip on the throttle rod and put some spray lube on the rubber and forced it on.

Perfetto. I was prepared to grimace and twist...and it slipped on like a sock. I put WD40 in the pedal hole...let it sit for 10 seconds...and I wasn't sure it actually fit. But it was tight. Thanks for the great advice...this should go in a file of repairs that work. Jim 42YearsandWaiting
