Topic: Found these at estate sale

Hoping someone could give me more info on these Ford flathead parts found in a crate at an estate sale. Looks like they were sent out for machining and never put into use after getting them back . Consist of two rods, a aluminum pully, a camshaft, and a crankshaft. What years/motors do these fit? Thanks for any info you can provide.

The crankshaft shown is for a four cylinder as evidenced by the 180 degree throws. Count the number of lobes on the camshaft to determine if it is for a 4 or an 8 cylinder engine. If you are sure it is a Ford crankshaft, it probably fits either a Model A (1928 to 1931) or a Model B (1932 to 1934) or a tractor engine.

You know they did have a ton of vintage Ford 8n and other tractor parts at the sale so these might very well be for a Ford tractor. I thought they were flathead parts only because I had found some photos online of rods that looked just like these and were from a flathead. I’ll try to clean them up this weekend as they were coated in a greese and get some numbers off of them. Being tractor parts I doubt they have much value but still a neat find

Unmarked parts are usually not very valuable because small differences can spell trouble. A few months ago a customer brought an engine block and a box of parts to our shop. When we sorted them, none of the parts were correct for job. The pistons, alone, were three different sizes. Auctions and swap meets are seldom sources of good parts, even if the vendor swears that they are good.
