Topic: Seat Covers

I enjoyed reading the article in the current edition of the V8 Times on seat covers. I have a '42 Tudor Sedan with all original interior. Its in very good shape, no tears, not much wear really, and I'd like to keep it that way but we also like driving the car as much as we can.

Does anybody have recommendations for seat covers? I've checked and nobody seems to reproduce them.

As strange as it may sound, have you thought about a set of bed sheets?
I use them when traveling in my Rouge winning 1949 Ford Custom Fordor.
The sheets are easy to drap over the seats and also easy to remove when you stop or are showing the vehicle.

  I agree with Bruce's thoughts.

I have used a couple bed sheets to cover the front and rear seats in my 40 Sedan ever since my LeBaron Bonney interior was installed., and they work just fine.

I use a piece of Berber throw on the drivers seat since it gets the most use, but will have to try the bedsheet idea.

I use the large cheap bath towels. You can get them in colors that is close to your upholstery.
