Were steel bowl pumps used through out the 46 model year or were GB ones introduced some time in the possibly later part of the 46 model yr. ???? ken ct

Ken According to the 41-48 Ford Book published by the club the glass bowl fuel pump was introduced for the V8 engine in late 1946. You define late 46.

Ken. My 46 Super Deluxe is a late year build, based on the serial number, and it has a glass bowel pump.

But by now it could have either one. Back then the customer could care less as long as it got a new pump.
