Topic: Diamond Back Wide Whites?

Hey Guys.., So I'm getting Diamond Back III Wide Whites for my '37 Ford Sedan.

Should I add the "Beauty Bar"for $20 a copy? (A Raised 5/8" Bar on the Outer Edge of the White Wall) to the tires??

Also..., is their "Road Hazard Warranty" any good??

Thanks in advance!!

I like the raised bar on my '49. I thought worth the cost. Don't know about the warranty.

From a personal perspective I would think the beauty bar would not look too good once it accidently hit a curb.

"Beauty Bar", I wondered if there was a name for it. I like that look and do have something similar on my '36 5W and have not been able to find them in their catalogue. Please do share the part number or how you ordered them. I have something similar on there now but they are probably 15 years old.

Wonder if they can do them in radials? Or even double white walls in radials with the beauty bar.

I know the picture does not look like it, but when I bend the tape measure to the end of the wheel, the white wall does measure 3 3/4", a half inch of that is the beauty ring. Glad to know it has a name.

PS, I have not had any curbing problems, but I tend to watch when parking.

When you are selecting the tire size on whichever tire you're getting, in my case the DiamondBack III radials.., there are several drop down menus, one you select yes or no to for the "Beauty Bar" @ $19.99 per tire, and the other for the "Road Hazard" Warranty @ $9.50 per tire.

The "Beauty Bar" makes the radials look more like bias ply tires. I love my Diamondbacks, without the beauty bar.
I just put a little Simple Green on a clean rag and wipe them off, look like new instantly. I've been running Coker WW on all my 34 Fords for 40 years. Next set for my 34 Ford Fordor will be Diamondbacks. My Coker bias ply "Firestones"don't clean that well. I rode in a friends 36 with Diamondbacks and enjoyed the better ride. I've been using Diamondbacks on other cars for over 20+ years. (66 VW & 35 Buick)
