What is the recommendation for maintaining Running Board rubber in good shape?
Thanks for any help

No matter whether you're talking about ancient hard rubber, or new soft reproduction boards, the goal is to stop the loss of pliancy, which happens with oxidation and exposure to ultraviolet. I kept mine looking good for many years with silicone, which slowed the outgassing, but did nothing to protect it from the hot sun. Now I'm thinking a headlight sealant for modern plastic headlights might do the trick better than silicone.
