Topic: LB rear main bearing seal

I am rebuilding a 36 LB engine and my machine shop informed me that the rear main seal on the cap doesn't fit. The part numbers for the the upper and lower seals are correct according to the book and works perfect on the block side, however the cap side grove is different that the correct seal. I am going to check out with the machine shop to see if the cap is correct for the engine.
After checking with the machine shop, they put the cap on the block with the crank and it is definitely for that engine. Now what do I do? I hate to put it together without anything in the lower cap and see it leak terribly or is it made that way so you don't put in a separate slinger?
Please advise. Thanks Jerry

The lower cap does not take the die cast seal you show it is for a later flathead . There is just one seal in the block 18-6335
