Can anybody recommend a competent shop to do a conversion on my 1953 stock radio. I'm still running 6V pos ground. I want to upgrade the stock radio to AM/FM/Bluetooth. There are a lot of shops out there offering similar services, not sure who is good/bad. Thanks!

Good Evening--- I'm not sure what part of the country you reside in. If you live in California or on the West Coast, I'd recommend Bob's Radio and TV. They did a nice stock restoration on my '40 radio. Phone # (805) 489-8200. E-mail "bobsradio.com". They are located in Oceano, in Southern California, a little south of San Luis Obispo. I've had a couple of my 6V Zenith touch bar repaired by Classic Auto Electric, 401 N. Carrie St., Mc Pherson, KS 67460. (620) 241-6927. To one of the radios he added FM. Works good. No changes to original configuration. Change from AM to FM by turning the radio off and on and visa versa. Classic has been advertising in Early Ford V8 Times as long as I've been a member. Only draw-back is, with original set- up you have only monoral.
