What is the best way to check the Generator output on a 1953 Ford. Appreciate any suggestions.

Connect a volt meter to the BAT post on the regulator and then increase engine rpms to about 1,500. The meter should read 7,2-7.4 volts. A meter with a needle is the best type to use for this reading. Tom
