40 ford deluxe coupe speedometer works fine nothing with odometer or trip gauge any ideas to try to free it up ?? its a Waltham

Make sure the odometer/trip -gauge is engaged. There is a knob on the backside of the speedometer that controls this function - push in - pull out. You should be able to feel to find this knob with you hands without crawling under the dash....

SHOULD THE TRIP GAUGE BE PUSHED IN OR LEFT OUT TO WORK ??

On my '38 I push the stem in to reset the trip meter and pull it out for operation.
