Hi Guys. I recently picked-up a remote control starter switch which has two wire leads. One positive and one negative which one goes where??? Johna

On a stock 6 volt solenoid, one clips on to the center contact of the solenoid and the other clips onto a good ground. It is not polarity sensitive. Tom

Thanks Tom--I have a 12 v solenoid with two small terminals,also should I disconnect alternator.Johna

If =you have the 2 terminal starter button, you need to supply 12 volts to the S terminal. The hook up would be one lead to a 12 volt source and the other lead to the S terminal of the solenoid. A remote starter switch should not affect the alternator. Tom
