Topic: Steering Box Rebuild

I am rebuilding the steering box in my 1936 Sedan Delivery and have a few questions. First I need to state that I believe the steering box is actually from a 1937 or older. The stamp on the casting appears to be 78-3550 and it has a sector shaft with a roller gear not the tooth style gear. I purchased a worm gear and sector shaft for a 36 but had to return it for a roller gear after I took it apart and found I had the wrong parts.
1. How do you remove the pin in the sector shaft roller gear? Does it just press out?
2. How do you install the new pin?
3. The pin with the new roller gear appears to be smaller in diameter then the existing pin. Or are the ends flattened out somehow to hold the pin in place?
4. Does the worm gear just pull off with a gear puller and press back on?

I purchased one rebuilt it has the pin spot welded in place. The worm is pressed on and off. There are a couple of post on fordbarn.com suggest you look there for the worm info.
