On my 48 convertible, the sun visors so not stay up. Road vibration causes them to drop down. How can I increase the resistance between the visor and the rod?

Remove the visor from the shaft it rotates on and pinch the visor with a channel lock pliers until you get the I.D. in the visor to the point where there is sufficient resistance to free movement. Be sure to place a rag or something else that is soft between the pliers and the visor to prevent damaging the visor.
