  hi cranking ratchet
I used blunt drift and a hammer to remove the ratchet nut, just remove it like a regular bolt,
if you do not have a wrench that size, kind of expensive for a one time use,
most of the time you can reuse this ratchet nut,
I doubt you will find a bolt in hardware store to replace that ratchet nut,
Its special size,
you can tighten the nut with the starter crank wrench, using a mallet to tap on it,
most FORD PARTS suppliers carry new one, if it gets ruined . they are about 13 14 $
I would suggest requesting a catalog, so you have a way to get some parts like C & G 1 800 266 0470
and A and L in CONN, 860 693 0112
hope this helps 1937Ragopman
I think you will more posts ways to do this but it worked for me for the last 50 years,

I am having a senior moment about the size of the nut portion of the ratchet, but I use a thin wall deep socket to remove it. I think the size is 15/16". I would look in the car tool box to see, but the car is in the body shop. If I remember the size, I will post it. I know that the size is one that is hard to find in a deep socket.
