Topic: 1937 Radiator Mounting

When I removed the radiator from my 1937 Deluxe Fordor for cleaning and repair, it was mounted to the frame with nuts, washers and bolts. When I reinstalled it I used a kit which I bought from a vendor. I installed mine with the springs mounted on top of the frame like they are on my Model A's and 1934 Ford.

After doing this, I noticed that the club's 1937 book states that the springs should be mounted under the frame. Is this correct, why was this changed and should I bother to correct this?

Thanks, Robert
