Take left side off and remove ring gear and all as an assy. then replace rh axle.

what is wrong with the RR axle ? is it the key way ? or axle nut stripped., need to know, this is a start, remember this is not a easy job, you need to have a spring spreader, so you can disconnect the spring from rear axle housing, BE REAL CAREFULL,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very DANGEROUS remove the brake rods, shock linkages remove the floor boards and remove the bolts and nuts from drive shaft to transmission,. I would consider rebuilding the rear end at this time,.and check the universal also for wear, looseness after you see what else might be going on, do this FIRST drain the gear lube from rear end, in a clean tray, examine the contents, looks for any chips, or metal particles in the oil , use a Magnet, SEE WHAT STICKS, YOU ONLY WANT TO DO THIS JOB ONCE, !!!! believe me, good time to think about going 354-1 REAR END RATIO better highway gears, let here the progress you make, GOOD LUCK my 2 cents 37Ragtopman
