What holds the vacuum line, from the carburetor, in the distributor besides the brass nut? I've never had a problem with one, so I never Paid much attention to it, and can't remember. My 1950 Ford car has the tapered brass nut on the distributor end, but nothing else, and I can move it in and out, where it goes into the distributor. I assume that it must be missing a ferrule- is that correct? Regards, Steve Lee

I found out!! A friend ( Cliff Robbins, Germans Ville ,Penn.) told me that the vacuum end of the tubing was a little expanded at the last 1/8"or so, to keep the nut on and draw the tubing into the vacuum unit! He said a lot of them became defective like mine, and he is sending me a good one. P.S. Need any 1949-1951 paused good parts? Contact him, he has bins and bins of parts!!! Regards, Steve Lee
