I have a 1941 ford 1/2 ton pickup with a v8 and 3 deuces. i want to put a GM alternator turned backwards for power. everything is being converted to 12v. is this possible? has anyone tried it?

If you are a V-8 Club member use your roster and call Ken Midile in Napa, California. I believe he has a flathead motor with an alternator mounted backwards. It is on a '40 Ford pickup.
