A buddy has a Model A that’s been converted to Hydraulic brakes using 46-48 drums, hubs and backing plates. Will 1940-41 hubs and drum work with 46-48 backing plates. He has heard that the drums will rub the backing plates. Drums have been turned past being safe and are thin. Thanks in advance, Dave

The 40-41 drums should work with the later backing plates without modification.
