I have a 1936 Ford 2 door sedan the rear window glass I found out is out of the channel and the setting tape holding the glass in the channel is all worn and falling out of the channel , I have try to remove the glass and pull it out of the opening so I and put new setting tape on the channel so the glass wind can go up and down and sideways. HOW can I get the glass out any books on how to remove and fix it ?/

On the inside of the car remove the screws holding the window frame and gently pull it out. Be careful, the glass may fall into the car. Cleanup the frame and make any necessary repairs. Hopefully the headliner doesn't come loose when you remove the frame. Install the new gasket, making sure the seam is at the top and carefully reinstall it and gently push the frame back in and put the screws back in.
Good luck. It's not a bad job.

So I do not have to pull the glass out of the opening? I can install the new tape in the channel while the chanel is still in the car

No, you will have to get the glass and channel out of the car.

Just a few days ago 4dFordSC was nice enough to post the following to help me with my 37 quarter window. Not sure what book this came from or what years its applicable to, but I found it helpful. It gives some step-by-step instructions on glass removal:
