What is the differential ratio? I'm running the '41 Lincoln in my vintage dirt track car ('39 Ford coupe). Was told ratio is 4:41. My experience is that it is too low for my use. Are NOS or after market ring&pinion sets available for conversion? Thanks.

4.33 and 4.44 ratios were used in the earlier Zephyrs. I can't find the ratios used in the 41 Zephyrs, but 4.41 sounds reasonable as overdrive was on most of the cars. You will probably find it very difficult to find a replacement gear set and would be better off finding a Ford differential for your car. There are gear sets that would be more suitable for your use. A 3.78 is a pretty common standard ratio for a Ford and 3.54 gear sets were also used. Tom

thanks Tom. Will a Ford center section mate up to the Lincoln axle housings and torque tube?

I don't think the axle housings will mate up, but I am not sure. Why don't you want to swap in a complete rear end? Tom
