Hello 40 Coupe: Thanks again for information. I do have a quick question, Does speedometer cable on this truck attach to transmission, one of front wheels, or elsewhere. Posted also on Truck Discussion. Thanks, John This message was edited by 39DLXE All Orig on 1-18-19 @ 12:14 PM

The speedometer cable attaches to the drive shaft right next to where it joins the back of the transmission.

Hello cpipp01@aol.com: And a 'Thank you' to you also for the dimensional information. Is that a reference publication you have? Looks like a lot of info there. John This message was edited by 39DLXE All Orig on 1-19-19 @ 7:48 AM

Yes it is a torque tube driveshaft. Ford pickups did not go to the open driveshaft until 1942. This message was edited by trjford8 on 1-19-19 @ 8:48 AM
