Can anyone give me the date that the '49 - '51 cars were let into the Club. And, did the '52 & 53 come in at the same time or later?

1982 included all Ford Motor Co vehicles 1932 through 1953.

That's a really good question. I seem to remember in the early days
it was pre war cars and maybe up to 1948. The 49-53 were added
later. In fact it may have been 1932-40 at the start of the club. Hope
we have some older members that can chime in.

Thanks for the answer. 1982 was why before my getting in to the Club....

The Club originally started out with 1932-40 cars. Some time in the early to mid 70's(don't remember the exact date) they allowed the 41-48 cars in to the club. In 1981 the discussion to allow the 49-53 cars into the club began. It was a huge battle with people taking sides and the president and directors caught a ton of flak from members in both sides of the aisle. When the dust settled the decision to allow 49-53 cars in the club was settled in 1982. It was the right decision. In the end we all wound up with a bunch of new friends with those late model cars.
