I'm considering powder coating my cast 60 hp heads to resemble aluminum aluminum. Anyone have experience doing this process and is it worth it versus heat resistant paint?

I would think a powder coated head could cause problems sealing all the openings, like stud holes and spark plug holes. I have had real good results painting my cast iron heads with silver aluminum paint. Looks just like aluminum. I paint them before I install them, after I have them surfaced. Didn't we just talk about this same subject yesterday?

You might want to google Bill Hirsch paints . They have lots of paint choices. I have used their products on iron & aluminum,GR8 stuff. mike

Thanks, paint is probably the best approach and would not impact heat dissipation as was mentioned.
