Is a 1940 Mercury Hood and a 1939 hood interchangeable? Are they the same dimensions? I'm building a 1929 Model A speedster and want to 'Clam' the two hoods together to build a rear boat tail for the car. I really appreciate any help. The Mercury hood is longer and wider than the Ford hood. It is a one piece stamping, not like the Ford hood with a seam in the middle. Tom
