I have used vaseline as a lubricant for my new speedometer cable. Is that OK? Too thick? 51 Ford. This message was edited by PeterFord on 6-25-18 @ 3:57 PM

That's what I used back in the day and would still use it today. OMO. ken ct.

Vaseline is OK, but I prefer to use graphite lubricant. Vaseline will collect dirt as it stays moist, graphite is a dry lubricant and does not collect dirt. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-03344?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-dorman&gclid=CjwKCAjwyMfZBRAXEiwA-R3gM6eFSgwqBLnxYaO1fBWUgq2KgSbUBt3of4PPbaLi01tv3uAxSydtUhoCpSEQAvD_BwE Tom
