I have a 53 Sunliner 6V pos grnd system. The car has been recently restored- they put # 2 gauge battery cables on it and told me that that is what they always use on 6V systems. I have read that #1 gauge is best for a 6V system. Any suggestions? Thx!

2 ga cables will work fine in a system that has little extra resistance. You can check out the cables by doing a voltage drop test on the starter system. Tom
