I just started my 1936 Ford Phaeton and North at the well pressure indicator is not working. How do I know that I’m getting oil pressure and it’s just not the sending unit Failed?

The only sure way to tell is to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge. You can buy one from the local auto parts store. They usually come with several fittings and a length of nylon tube. You can install the fitting(s) required into your engine block where the sending unit was previously located, connect the nylon tube from the installed fitting to your new gauge and check for oil pressure.
