Topic: Curve in 33/34 bumpers

With the exception of the Vicky rear bumper, I have always believed that the front and rear bumpers of 33/34 cars have the same amount of arch before they are mounted, but that the front bumper ends up straighter than the rear when they are mounted. I have seen statements that the rear has more arch than the front before mounting, making them different from each other. Is there a definitive answer to the question, "Does the rear bumper of a 33/34 have more arch than the front bumper before they are mounted"?

The 33 & 34 Bumpers are not the same, they just look that way.
The bumper brackets are different in the spacing of the bumper bolts.
The bumpers are interchangeable front to rear, at least they are on the 1934's, but not 34 to 33. That's why 1933's are not seen with the 34 reproduction luggage racks.

Thanks. Your way of describing it was more clear than mine. I have seen info saying there is a difference between the front and rear bumpers, but I have also learned more recently that they have the same part number for a given year.

The bumper bolt holes to the inner brackets are narrower one year than the other. Now I can't remember which was narrower, the 33 or 34.
I bought a set of bumpers from a friend who bought 34's for his 33 and they would not fit. A long time ago, but I think the 33's were narrower.
