I removed the front seat by removing 4 botls and lifting it out. I also removed the back seat (bottom) just by pushing backward and getting the seat off the holder. Now I need to remove the back part of the seat. SOMEONE TELL ME HOW IT IS DOWN. DO I UNBOLT SOMETHING OR DOES THE BACK PART OF THE SEAT PUSH BACK OFF OF SOME TYPE OF BRACKET?? Need some advice here. thanks rsh1950

My car is a 1950 two door (not business coup).

If it is like a 1953, there are two bolts that you remove at the bottom of the cushion. Once those are removed , lift the cushion up to release the top of the cushion from the two hooks that are at the front of the package shelf.

I see the two bolts that you are referring to and I will remove them as you say. I don't like unbolting anything unless it is necessary. thanks rsh1950

Yep, remove the two cap screws at the bottom of the seat!

Ok, I removed the two bolts as suggested and the back of the back seat came right out after I lifted up on it. I took the complete back seat to my upholstery guy today and I picked up the front seat that he just completed. This guy (Pedro) did a fantastic job on the front seat. I will attach a photo in the next few days to show the excellent workmanship on the front seat. rsh1950
