Has anyone have information about the Ford station wagon { Woodie} 1948 model year, that a metal roof was put over the wood slats . Did Ford have a assembly plant in South America? The car has a speedometer in kilometers . Thanks for your help.

Ford had several assembly plants in South America during the period in question and still does, but like all the North American assembly plants, any station wagon bodies mounted on chassis came from a single source for the bodies (in the U.S., but in which state depended on the specific model year.)

Covering the tops of station wagons and pre-'37 closed car roof openings was a common post-production (non-Ford) addition in South America in the day.
