Does anyone have a pic of the attachment hardware for the "Ford" trunk emblem? I have the emblem that was attached to the trunk with HBC double sided tape. The emblem itself gives no clue as to what attachment hardware was on it. Any reference/info is appreciated.

This is strictly from memory: I believe they were attached from the inside by 4 #10 or 12 screws running through a channel shaped piece about 3/4" square.

If you are referring to the long emblem that says Ford , there is 3 clips that are soldered on the back side and go through 3 holes in the trunk lid with nuts on the inside.

Yup, that's the one. Guess I'll have to get out the soldering iron (or maybe JB Weld?)

That piece is commonly referred to as the "trunk spear". C&G shows it as 6A-7042544. It is also available as a "third stoplight" piece with the letters pierced. That is HR-7042514. Both are stainless steel, of course. The clips often break loose from the trim, and resoldering them can be difficult, because overheating can damage the finish. I mounted mine with a homemade rubber gasket to prevent damage to my new paint job.

Thank you Supereal. Was wondering if there was a gasket under that emblem. I'll figure out something for mounting clips.
