My 35 Ford horns are more of a groan than a beep. My local ole school, flathead guru/multiple owner has played with them but without much success. What should I be looking at, looking for to get these 6 volt babies to put out a proper horn sound? I'm not necessarily opposed to their replacement, an aftermarket substitute, sending them out for work, etc. if someone can make a recommendation they've had good experience with. Thanks.

I have found on both my '34 and '37 that poor/high resistance connections in the horn circuit caused the horns to be weak. I resolved the problem by cleaning up and soldering the bullet connectors used in the horn circuit....

Check out your horns by using a 10 ga jumper wire from the battery to the horn and another 10 ga jumper from the horn sh*ll to ground. If it still just groans, open the cover and clean the contacts. Tom
