Have to say your 'Topic Title' vs. what you wrote in the body are a bit confusing/conflicting. Given you are calling this both a 'No 2 car' (title) and 'number 3 car' (message) which is it? What is the '$23' for? Is the Fairlane a 2D sed? 4D sed? 2D HT Vic? etc. Looking at a mildly dated copy of the 'Collector Car Price Guide' the range of pricing runs the range of approx. $8,500 - $31,000 depending upon what you have and the condition rating (2 vs. 3), so you can see a bit more qualifying info is needed. Please be a bit more clear and descriptive to allow the experience here to provide you with as quality an answer as possible. Steve

In 1956 they called the two door Fairlane a "Town Sedan". That is probably the same term used in 1955, neither one being a flat head powered car. The Price Guide says about $8.500.00 in the year old issue I have. Good Luck. 1934 Ford's since 1972

In 1955 & 56 the two door Fairlane was called the Club Sedan and the four door Fairlane was called the Town Sedan.
