I got my rear brake shoes in place, E-brake cable installed and upper spring attached to the shoes only to realized the shoe retainer spring were not in place (oops)do I start from scratch or is there a way to attach them without taking everything apart?

If you are asking about your 48 Coupe with original brakes, you may be able to spread the shoes enough to get the spring on, but I would remove the upper spring and slide the shoes into the clips. Tom

Thanks Tom, I have a different spring clip setup than your diagram shows, but I was able install them with a different technic.
