Is a 48 sedan frame the same as a convertible frame?

According to the 41-48 Ford book there is a different frame for the open cars than for the closed cars.

I am pretty sure the 1940 frames were of thicker metal for the convertibles ,and sedan deliveries.. i do not know what the difference is on the 48s. But it could be the same.
